In 2004, the Chace sisters, Noelle D’Intino and Sarah Chace, were having lunch with their parents when a life-changing idea took root. Noelle, with a degree in Speech and Language Pathology and 13 years in corporate banking, had recently been laid off. Sarah, holding a degree in Early Education, was working as a preschool teacher but was ready for a new challenge.

Their father casually suggested, “Why not open a child care center? Noelle can run the business, and Sarah can teach.” What started as an offhand comment quickly turned into an exciting plan. The conversation evolved from “What if?” to “Here we go!”—and on June 4, 2005, ScribbleTime – A Center for Early Learning was born. With just three classrooms and fewer than ten students enrolled, they embarked on a journey that would shape the future of early education in their community.

Today, ScribbleTime has grown to nine classrooms, a dedicated team of 30 early education professionals, and 114 students attending daily. Our mission remains steadfast: to create intentional, engaging learning experiences by prioritizing health and safety, social-emotional development, academics, and a whole lot of fun!

Deep Roots in North Attleboro

North Attleboro isn’t just where we built our business—it’s been our family’s home for generations, dating back to the 1800s. Our grandfather, Harold Chace, founded Chace Brothers with his two brothers on May Street, playing a key role in the town’s industrial growth and providing employment for many in our community. Our father, Steve Chace, later took over the business, carrying on its legacy until his retirement.

On our mother’s side, community contributions continued through Elco Carpets, a company that provided local jobs. Our grandfather, Gene Charlebois, was also a dedicated philanthropist, giving back through organizations like the Lions Club and United Way.

A Full-Circle Moment: The Next Chapter

As we celebrate 20 years of ScribbleTime in 2025, a remarkable opportunity has come our way—the chance to purchase the historic Grace Episcopal Church. Interestingly, this was the very first location we considered when we launched ScribbleTime in 2005. Adding to its significance, our beloved grandmother, Grace Chace, lived just up the street. She was an incredible influence in our lives, and we know she would have loved to see this next chapter unfold.

With extensive experience in renovation, expansion, and operations of child care centers, we have also become expert consultants for early learning centers across Massachusetts and the country. We are well-versed in all aspects of this project and look forward to bringing new life to this historic landmark in North Attleboro.

Today, ScribbleTime is a leader in early education and well known across the nation for it’s high-quality early education and operations.

As we begin 2025, we are beginning our new business, Chace Sisters, which will own the newly named Grace Hall, the next chapter for this beautiful, historic, building —honoring the past, embracing the present, and shaping the future!
